Michael Wolf of GigaOM and I were on a panel last year organized by literary agent and writing conference organizer Michael Larson.  Michael is an astute publishing industry analyst and researcher.  He makes a case here for why Google should buy Barnes & Noble.  That would really change the publishing landscape, assuming the SEC would allow the deal to go through.
