Event Description

Take time to renew your spirit!

A world of community, connectivity, and inspiration awaits you. This is your opportunity to get connected, get centered, and get focused on what matters.

The program we have planned this year is focused on the theme of receiving. What happens when we are present with the possibility of receiving? Together we will create the space to experience receiving as a creative art.

The BK community is a giving community. We are well practiced in the art of giving. But receiving comes harder for many of us. In a world where everyone gives but where there is little space for receiving, it's hard to know when our gifts make a difference. Let us gather together to reinforce our strengths with no more than our presence, questions, and openness to receive.

The Event Will Include

The events will include Forums for Collaboration:

* Open space forums
* Networking time, including welcoming the first timers
* The view from Steve Piersanti on the shifting tectonics of publishing
* Tested ideas from Berrett-Koehler staff on marketing success
* Processes that build community
* Opportunities to improve your writing, your marketing, your presence
* Unstructured time for meditation, walking, and rest
* And some fun!

A pre-session with First Time Retreat Attendees begins at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 7th, and the Authors' Retreat kicks off at dinner that night at 6:00 pm and concludes at Noon on Sunday, October 10th.
